VAVS: Veterans Affairs Volunteer Services

This program is an integral part of all AMVETS organizations from the National and State level to the Post level. The program is designed to assist veterans who are at Veterans Affairs hospitals by providing them with items and entertainment that will help make their stay at the hospital easier to endure.

In the case of AMVETS Post II this includes providing free services at the West Los Angeles Veterans Affairs Medical Facility. These services include free bingo once a month, ensuring that the veterans at the hospital receive shaving and grooming supplies and bringing them to the Post on Super Bowl Sunday to watch the big game and enjoy a catered meal.
